Coming soon is an event that is fast becoming a real favourite on world heritage-listed Norfolk Island. It’s the fun-filled Christmas in July week, featuring Aussie and NZ icons, Suzanne Prentice, John Rowles, Normie Rowe and Glenn A Baker.
What a line up and they really get those jingle bells rocking with four concert performances and a Rock Legends Tribute night. And we mustn’t forget the climax of the week – Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and carols sung by the stars! Yes, they are going to be singing just for the Christmas in July tour group, now that is a really special Christmas treat.
Glenn A Baker, the world renowned rock n roll historian will be MC for the week and he is the mastermind behind the Rock Legends Tribute night featuring the rock n roll greats, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley and Aussie favourite, Johnny O’Keefe.
There is always plenty to experience on Norfolk Island, so the Christmas in July package includes a half day tour of the island; a progressive dinner to different island homes and a cliff top fish fry dinner and a heritage tour of Kingston exploring the former convict settlement. There is also a trip to the Sunday craft markets and entry to the famous Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama.
Exclusive to Christmas in July though is a very special guided tour through the late Colleen McCullough’s property where she wrote her magnificent historical novels. This includes afternoon tea, to soak up the beautiful surroundings and the creative atmosphere.
There will be some serious name-dropping opportunities following this Christmas in July! For more information about Christmas in July on Norfolk Island…
