Tsiknaris were announced as finalists in the 2013 Australian Hair
Fashion Awards. Bill Tsiknaris, Director and Head Stylist, took out
top honours for QLD in 2012 when he won the coveted title of AHFA QLD

Bill Tsiknaris – Latex Babes
With more than 28 years experience in the hair industry, Bill
Tsiknaris’s stunning collection, titled Influencers of their
Time, earned him a finalist place in the Australian Hairdresser
of the Year category where he is joined by five fellow finalists.
Bill’s powerful collection, titled Latex Babes, was inspired
by the rising power of women from the 1960’s through to today and
has seen him short listed for the QLD Hairdresser of the Year title
where he is joined by two fellow finalists including younger brother,
Dimitri Tskinaris.
QLD Hairdresser of the Year Finalist:
Dimitri Tsiknaris – Pastel Propaganda
“I am really honoured to be selected as a finalist for both the
Australian & QLD Hairdresser or the Year categories. Influencers
of their Time was inspired by the iconic styles of the 1960’s,
but with a modern twist. Latex Babes represents women of the
modern era; strong, confident, independent,” Bill Tsiknaris said.
Keeping it in the family, younger brother, Dimitri Tsiknaris’s
striking creation, Pastel Propaganda, pushes the boundaries of
colour and style, showcasing Dimitri’s exceptional techniques.
Dimitri’s collection has been shortlisted in the QLD Hairdresser of
the Year category.
“My inspiration for pastel propaganda came not only from the hair
world but art galleries, instagram and photography magazines which
are full of beautiful bright colours. Colour is the focal point of
the collection and the hair is my canvas,” Dimitri Tsiknaris said.
Leading Colourist at Tsiknaris Hair, Chris Tsiknaris, has been
selected as a finalist for Australian Creative Colourist of the Year.
He is joined by five other finalists vying for the category title.
Partnering with brother Bill, the collection titled Influencers of
their Time, demonstrates Chris’s extraordinary depiction of
colour and the latest on trend techniques.
Australian Creative Colourist of the Year Finalist:
Chris Tsiknaris – Influencers of their Time
“Current colour trends focus on
colours that catch your eye. Bright colours are big and often don’t
stop at just one, with multiple colours blended through the hair
layers giving the impression of a 3D effect. Dip dyeing the ends of
long hair is also on trend, creating a dramatic effect,” Chris
Tsiknaris said.
The finalists will travel to Sydney
on April 15 where the winners will be announced at a gala event.
