Australian haircare innovator, ELEVEN Australia, is fast-tracking its creative vision and taking it to new mediums with the creation of a film.
Joining forces with film production experts in fashion and lifestyle, C-KOL, the ELEVEN Australia team developed the two-minute video, Colour Burst, to bring the personality of ELEVEN Australia to the screen.
The short cinematic snapshot is a modern artistic take on the traditional Indian holi festival, combining the use of colour with the movement of hair – two things the young brand is all about.
“We came up with the idea after seeing footage from an Indian holi festival – it showed colour in such a fun, energetic way that we couldn’t wait to try something similar for ELEVEN Australia with our own focus on Australian style,” says Joey Scandizzo, Co-Creative Director of ELEVEN Australia.
“Colour Burst hones in on ELEVEN Australia’s personality in a really visual way, which I just love.”
C-KOL used a Phantom Miro Camera to capture up to 1,380 frames per second, so that the footage plays in extreme slow motion. Combined with vibrant colours and movement of the holi powder in hair, Colour Burst gives viewers a unique display of life and colour.
"We love working with ELEVEN Australia because it's always about having fun and making a memorable impression,” says Adam Murfet, Director of C-KOL.
ELEVEN Australia is a professional range of salon-only shampoos, conditioners, treatments and styling products made from high performance ingredients - without the excessive price tag.
C-KOL is a Melbourne-based motion content and communication studio which has produced short films for Carl Kapp, Country Road and Shibui.
The film has received more than 24,000 views on YouTube since its upload in July.Check it out here:
