CREATE QUICK GLAMOROUS HAIR FOR COLD WINTER MORNINGS

Brisbane has been shivering through some of the coldest mornings in years which makes a warm bed even more difficult to leave. Queensland Hairdresser of the Year 2012, Bill Tsiknaris, from Tsiknaris Hair in New Farm has a few tips to create a super quick glamorous look in only five steps, which means more time cuddled up in bed and less time standing on the cold tiles.

“This look enables you to transform straight, messy, clean or day two or three hair into a relaxed, but glamorous look with movement that is perfect for the office or a night out,” Bill Tsiknaris said.

After washing hair, apply Alterna’s Bamboo:
• Boho Waves – 4 sprays
• Weightless Whipped Mousse - ½ a golf ball size
• UV+ Fade Proof Fluid
And then blow-dry roughly using your hands.

For an extra 15 minutes in bed, skip the wash and blow-dry altogether and use Alterna’s Bamboo Style Cleanse Extend Translucent Dry Shampoo.

• Grab your Cloud 9’s & set to 150 to 175 degrees (most important when creating curl that lasts). You can also use a straightening iron.
• Take 6 medium to large vertical sections around the head (the best way to do this is to take a centre parting then split hair from ear to ear).
• When curling front sections always make sure you turn them away from face as this will help accentuate cheek bones.

Take the next section & work away from face until you get to the middle back and then start on the other side and wind away from face.

Use a rake comb to break up and soften curls.

Finish off with Alterna’s Bamboo:
• Uplifting Root Blast Spray - lift sections of the hair and spray and then let the hair fall naturally)
• Alterna Bamboo Volumizing Liquid Powder - apply to hands, rub together then rub into hair for loose sexy waves)
