Plumper looking skin without injections

Plumper looking skin without injections

Hyaluronic acid is one of the skin’s natural components which seals moisture and creates fullness. Over time, the concentration of Hyaluronic acid decreases. Wrinkles become deeper, cheeks begin to hollow and the face loses its volume.
To help fight these signs of ageing, some women choose cosmetic procedures. Discover an alternative to cosmetic procedures with Revitalift Filler [HA] – highly concentrated in hyaluronic acid to visibly re-plump skin. Skin looks plumper, contours look fuller.

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler [HA]

Winners mEYE World Photographic Competition 2016 World Diabetes Day

Winners mEYE World Photographic Competition 2016 World Diabetes Day

the mEYE World Photographic Competition 2016, to mark World Diabetes Day. The outstanding winners were selected from over 2,400 photographs entered to celebrate the theme – See My World.

An initiative of Macular Disease Foundation Australia, the competition is designed to raise awareness of macular disease, including macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.

Tania Savona, of Ormond, Victoria, is this year’s Grand Finalist with a charming photograph of weary young ballerinas resting after a long day of dance.

In her description of the photograph Tania said, “After a hard day's work of dancing and prancing, these ballerinas were captured recharging their batteries and getting 40 winks. You cannot see their eyes, but they have a look of calmness and shared friendship. I'm not a dancer but I love to see my daughter dance and escape into her world of beautiful music and costumes.”

For the third consecutive year, retired anaesthetist Dr Kerry Boytell won the healthcare professional category. Dr Boytell, who submitted two photos to the competition, was also awarded healthcare professional first runner up. Her photographs are outstanding and capture the natural landscape with clarity and insight.

The long standing high profile judging panel included Foundation Patron Ita Buttrose, internationally recognised photographer Rex Dupain, and one of Australia’s longest- serving news photographer Alan Pryke.

“Macular disease affects Australians of all ages and we now know that early detection can save sight. The competition is a wonderfully creative way to remind people how precious their sight is and why they should do all they can to preserve it,” Ms Buttrose said.

Macular Disease Foundation Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Julie Heraghty, said the quality of entries received was outstanding. “The photographs reflected the theme ‘See My World’ in beautiful and diverse ways that truly remind people of how important it is to value their vision.”

Competition categories include: macular disease community, healthcare professional, open, and junior (under 18). Eligible photographs were presented for judging without personal identification.

INCREASE YOUR VITALITY THIS WINTER

INCREASE YOUR VITALITY THIS WINTER

Day to day stress, exposure to toxins, lack of healthy foods all deplete our systems leaving us feeling moody, out of balance and less energised.  The good news is by embracing some healthy changes you can be back to feeling energised and leading the life you truly desire.

Pamella Zakostelsky, Naturopath and co-founder of Miss Vitality explains seven ways you can increase your vitality so you can feel rejuvenated and energized.

1.    EATING SUPERFOODS: Good nutrition means eating a variety of foods every day. As our lives get busier, time for good food preparation is not always our priority. Today's woman can be stressed and inflammation can precede tiredness and we want to keep our energy high. Women need greater amounts of certain nutrients than men, particularly iron and calcium. Menstruation, pregnancy, lactation and menopause are times of increased nutritional demand. Poor diets can cause increased toxic load in our internal environment, congest the bowel and limit the absorption of key nutrients and minerals. Large quantities of foods like tea and coffee with high levels of caffeine can interfere with the absorption and excretion of important minerals.

2.    EXERCISING PROPERLY: Lack of exercise and even excessive exercise, too much alcohol and smoking increase the acidity in the body. Too much exercise when we are already stressed can exhaust our adrenals even more so we must do some exercise if we are stressed like yoga or Pilates to lower our cortisol.

3.    SLEEP AND REJUVINATION: On average, an adult needs 6-8 hours of sleep every night in order to function properly every day. Going to bed early and waking up early will help you to feeling great. People associate having a hot bath with some aromatherapy oils like Ylang Ylang before bed will help them to relax and sleep easier, however, the body needs to cool down in order to receive a good night sleep. Bathing two hours before bed, sleeping with a fan on or window open will allow the body to cool down to rest properly. A cup of relaxing herbal tea also helps to calm for a tested sleep.

4.    CONSIDER A NUTRIENT RANGE SUCH AS MISS VITALITY: The Miss Vitality range incorporates a CLEANSE range and ANTI-AGEING range, and is for those wanting to enhance their homecare skin regime, reduce toxic damage and free radical exposure, and ultimately feel rejuvenated and energized.

Miss Vitality CLEANSE range – ‘My body is my temple’ - Miss Vitality Cleanse Range incorporates daily rituals to help detoxify and restore the body. With powerful anti-oxidant support, every ingredient is carefully selected to ensure the body’s maximum uptake of nutrients is achieved.   For a full list of the Miss Vitality range, visit http://www.miss-vitality.com/

Miss Vitality ANTI-AGEING Range - Miss Vitality anti-ageing range supports the body on a nutritional and cellular level. While stress and environment play a major part in skin and body toxicity, anti-oxidants are the key to delivering protection against the effects of ageing within the cell. For a full list of the Miss Vitality range, visit http://www.miss-vitality.com/

5.    HYDRATION: Staying hydrated and drinking water is the body’s secret weapon to stay health. Drinking water provides an individual with many benefits as well as misusing those excess calories. Water benefits include; flushing out by-products and toxins, keeps the skin moist preventing aging, dry skin and infection, hydrates muscle and joints and prevents injuries during exercise, allows the body to maintain temperature, improves blood flow, healthy bowl function and strengths the brain.

6.    SELF-CARE AND TAKE CARE: Taking time out for you to self-care is essential for mental health. Participating in yoga classes, reading a book, relaxing and listening to soul soothing music, meditation classes or downloading meditation apps can allow the body and mind to relax and be taken away from stress or anxiety.

7.    FUN IN THE SUN: Getting 10 minutes of sun most days will provide natural vitamin D. The sun is a mood and energy enhancer.
